The jury of the fourth edition of the Premios Valores de Papel has awarded Alejandra Amusquívar and Elena Lobera García with the Premio Renovable. The alumni of ELISAVA's Master in Packaging Design and the Postgraduate in Graphic Design and Structural Packaging Design have been recognized as young talents aimed to update packaging design with cardboard. Both of them received the prize for their project 'The Universal Box', finalist for the Premio Internacional Pro Carton for young designers.
The Premios Valores de Papel are focused on the characteristic attributes of this material: an essential, valuable, natural, innovative and renewable character; qualities that give name to the five prizes that are given in each edition.
The Premios Valores de Papel are the recognition to people and organizations of the paper world that stand out for embodying such values in activities or initiatives in different spheres of society.
Adaptable and recyclable shoe box
'Universal Box' proposes a new concept of box, adaptable to different sizes and minimizing the percentage of air transported in the entrance and departure of the warehouse; as well as minimizing dramatically the packaging/protection material used without affecting the quality of the product throughout all the logistic cycle. The packaging must be made of recycled and recyclable materials, with the minimum economic impact and adaptable to different types of shoes.
